Feline fanciers have a chance to help cats near Fairfield.
Due to ongoing health concerns, the Animal Adoption Foundation in Hamilton, a short distance from Fairfield, is currently closed. Although they have a reputation for being aloof, cats need companionship and attention. Since the staff is not present at this time, cats at the facility cannot receive this care. Now, volunteers have a chance to provide the care at “Love Our Cats” events.
Volunteers will physically go to the shelter where they will brush, pet, play with, read to, and generally give lots of love and attention to the cats who are currently housed at the facility. Not only will these activities benefit the cats, but they also benefit the volunteers, who will feel happy and relaxed after enjoying some time with the felines.
In order to make sure everyone remains safe and healthy, recommended protocols will be followed. Each session will be limited to ten volunteers, and they will be required to wear face masks. In addition, everyone will be required to observe the minimum recommended physical distance. Trained personnel from the Foundation will be on hand to assist volunteers.
The Foundation is at 2480 Ross Millville Road in Hamilton, a few miles from Fairfield. The volunteer sessions take place several days per week at various times, and some sessions are already sold out. Organizers of events like this can use brochure printing to create instructional pamphlets for volunteers.
