Music all summer in Fairfield

There will be music all summer long in Fairfield, thanks to its Parks and Recreation Department.

For 17 years, residents have enjoyed the Groovin' on the Green series of concerts, and the event is back again this summer, with performances on Thursday evenings, and another entirely different series of performers on certain Friday nights.

The Thursday Groovin' on the Green schedule is:

  • June 4 – Tobi Lee & Mustang Sally

  • June 11 – The Ohio Military Band

  • June 18- Second Wind

  • June 25 – The Stagger Lee Band

  • July 9 – The Everyday People Band

  • July 16 – The Remains

  • July 23 – GenX

  • July 30 – Aja – A Tribute to the Music of Steely Dan

  • August 6 – Thunder Bay

  • August 13 – Forever Diamond

If that's not enough, Friday at the Green brings:

  • June 12 – The Soul Pocket

  • June 26 – Brother Smith

  • July 10 – The Sly Band

  • July 24 – Dv8

  • August 7 – 90 Proof Twang

  • August 21 – Amy Sailor Band

The venue for both series is the Village Green Park, with all Thursday concerts running from 7.00 pm until 9.00 pm, and Friday evening's performances going from 8.00 pm until 10.00 pm. Vendors and food trucks with all kinds of goodies will be on hand as well. The concerts are free, but people interested should check the schedule in case of cancellations. Flyer printing can be used to create programs to be distributed at events like this.
