Morning of fun for Fairfield visually impaired kids

An event planned for the Fairfield area will offer an opportunity for visually impaired children to play, make friends, and have fun, with their families invited to join in.

The Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI) provides a range of supports, including assistive devices and other technology as well as learning opportunities, to its membership. One of its August activities will benefit kids and the rest of their family, and anyone who would like to participate is asked to RSVP by calling 513-221-2182.

The attendees at the function will be able to play and have fun while they meet other families, and as the younger guests enjoy making some new friends, their parents or guardians will be able to learn about various community resources. There will be Intervention Vision Specialists on hand from CABVI who will model positive play and engage with the crowd.

When choosing printed materials to use at a function, organizers should aim to be as inclusive as possible. This can mean working with Print shops that are able to supply items adapted to meet the special needs of their target recipients.

This morning of fun in the sun will be on offer at Rentschler Forest MetroPark in Hamilton on Friday, August 12. It will run from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
