Fairfield welcomes Raising Canes

Raising Cane’s has opened its second Butler County location in Fairfield, according to an article in the Journal-News.

The store went into operation last Wednesday, October 19, at 5120 Dixie Highway. The Fairfield store, which comprises 2,900 square feet, is the sixth Raising Cane’s in the region, and its opening included gift baskets, free meals, and gift baskets.

The chain, which is based in Louisiana, was founded in 1996, and serves what it describes as chicken fingers that are “always fresh, never-ever frozen.” The chicken is put in a marinade for 24 hours, battered by hand, and cooked when a customer orders it. Cane’s Sauce, Texas Toast, coleslaw, and fries are also on the menu.

Company spokeswoman Andria Morgan noted that the Fairfield store is the 21st Ohio location, and one of over 500 Raising Cane’s outlets now open throughout the country. Morgan said the company is looking in southwest Ohio for new areas in which to locate stores. As for the Fairfield location, Morgan said 65 people have already been hired, and the company is looking for even more employees to join what she calls the “Caniac Culture team.”

Companies like these can benefit by working with flyer printing companies, which can create handouts for distribution near new stores when they open. If the handouts include coupons, more people might decide to try the new business.
