Fairfield to get its hands on big vehicles

As Fairfield gears up for another summer, the young and the young at heart will be spending some time getting to know the big rigs used by first responders and other community workers in the region.

Village Green Park will be the venue for the Touch a Truck activity planned for later this month. A wide variety of vehicles will be parked at the location for the public to explore.

Attendees will be able to explore fire and police vehicles, as well as construction trucks, a snowplow, an ambulance, farm equipment, and maybe even the Bookmobile. They can climb in and on the displays, honk horns, and learn how they operate, and there will also be two food trucks parked at the venue. A call has gone out to anyone in the community who has a vehicle they would like to include in the event.

A hands-on truck day or other community event may attract a high number of visitors. Signage, as well as Booklets that offer information about each of the entries in such an activity, can be prepared by a flyer printing company.

Fairfield will be showcasing the vehicles that help to keep the community humming along on Friday, June 28. It will kick off at 9:00 am, with a sensory-friendly hour running from 9:00 am until 10:00 am.
