Fairfield to be new home of Veritiv

Veritiv Corporation, a North American company that provides solutions for business-to-business distribution operations, recently said it has chosen Fairfield as the location of its Greater Cincinnati Operations Center, according to an article on Facilities.net.

The space, which comprises 72,000 square feet, will house over 400 of Veritiv's employees who work in finance, IT, credit, and customer service.

Veritiv's chairman and CEO, Mary Laschinger, said the new center is an “important strategic investment” for the company, and is in line with its goal of integrating operations and strengthening collaboration throughout the organization. She believes that Fairfield and the Cincinnati area have the talent available to support the company's efforts.

Fairfield's mayor, Steve Miller, said the city was excited to welcome the company, which he sees as a “great addition to the Fairfield business community.” He noted that it is now one of the top employers in Fairfield. There are about 600 Veritiv employees throughout Ohio, with approximately 550 of them in the Cincinnati area.

In order to move into Fairfield, Veritiv teamed up with several local chambers of commerce and other initiatives. Among the reasons the property was suitable for the company are the talent pool, easy access to the airport, and the potential for future growth.
