Fairfield sets date for holiday season kick-off

Fairfield has plans to kick off the winter holiday season with a special community event, and there are several ways to join the fun.

The city has scheduled its annual Parade of Lights at Fairfield Community Arts Center and Village Green Park. Businesses can choose to register to sponsor a tree, serve as a vendor, or take part in the parade, and there will be activities both inside and out.

The celebration will get started with a Shark Meet and Greet at CAC Dance Studio, which will be followed by a children’s crafting session at the same venue. The official opening of the Festival of Trees will take place, and there will be both holiday and food vendors set up outside.

The annual Parade of Lights will begin at Waterworks Park at 5:00 pm, and it will make its way to Village Green Park. Everyone in the community is welcome to line the route so they can take in the procession, and it will be followed by the official tree lighting and fireworks.

Organizing a special event may include choosing suitable decor. A banner printing company will be happy to lend a hand with its assortment of options.

Fairfield will be getting its winter holiday season off to an exciting start with its Parade of Lights and other festive fun on Saturday, November 23. A full listing of the activities is available on the city's website.
