Fairfield plans a festive Fourth

When it comes to celebrating the Fourth, Fairfield pulls out all the stops and is doing so again this week.

The city is planning a huge celebration for the Fourth of July, and unlike many other municipalities, Fairfield's celebration is spread over four different locations, each with different attractions and activities planned.

At Harbin Park, The Soul Pocket, a popular band based in Cincinnati, will provide the music, while partygoers can enjoy treats from Meteorite Ice, Graeters Ice Cream, Dreamy Whip, Taste of Mexico, Patriot Grill, U-lucky Dawg, and Sweets & Meats BBQ. The fun starts at 8:00 pm.

Village Green Park will host The Whammies, who will rock out starting at 8:00 pm. Kona Ice, Fabulous Funnel Cakes and More, The Dawghouse, Donatos Pizza, the El Rancho Nuevo Food Truck, and Remi Js Barbecue will be on hand to serve hungry guests.

At Marsh Lake, the party is called Red, White & Fish, and runs from 5:00 pm until 11:00 pm. People with season passes will be admitted free, otherwise the fee is $5. People are invited to enjoy fishing and fireworks at the same time, with Rozzi's Famous Fireworks doing the honors.

Finally, there will be a Fireworks Swim from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm at the Fairfield Aquatic Center.

Although the times are different, all the Red-White & Kaboom celebrations take place this Wednesday, July 3. Banner printing is often used to create decorations for events like this.
