Fairfield golfers invited to enjoy fundraising tourney

An event that helps Fairfield area scholars achieve their post-secondary education goals will soon be teeing off at Walden Ponds Golf Course.

The venue will be hosting the 2nd Annual Evan Huxsoll Memorial Golf Outing, and its organizers hope it will be fun for every golfer who comes out. It will offer 18 holes of play, with some additional perks along the way.

Golfers will be playing in teams of four, and the fun will kick off with a shotgun start. Whether they are a top player or their game leaves a lot to be desired, everyone will receive a swag bag of Corporate Gifts, and a buffet dinner is on the agenda as well. The driving range will open to the registrants at 11:30 am, and even split and other draws have been planned.

The final date to register for the golf outing is May 1, and there are opportunities on offer for the local corporate community to get involved. Both tickets and sponsorship packages can be accessed through its online reservation system, and donations to the cause will also be welcome.

The 2nd Annual Evan Huxsoll Memorial Golf Outing will tee off on May 10. All skill levels are welcome to sign up to play, and more information for players and potential sponsors is available on its Eventbrite listing.
