Fairfield families are about to be treated to some fun on the farm, and while they enjoy themselves, they will be learning about the area’s agricultural sector.
The Fun of the Farm day will bring together vendors as well as demonstrations and other activities, and there will be lots to see and do. Admission is $5.00 each, with kids age 2 and under being admitted at no charge.
The plans for the day include a pop up makers' and vendors’ market, and everyone can take in one of the demonstrations of beekeeping, blacksmithing and also foraging. Tours of a historic house will be on offer, and these will be led by a member of the Friends of Chisholm. Some superstar animal ambassadors will be on hand, and wagon rides will be available. The activity will run from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm, and advance registration is not required.
A historical venue that is planning a special event can order signage and other materials printed in a period style from a local poster printing company. These can help to build the desired atmosphere, and many styles can be used more than once.
The staff and volunteers at Chrisholm MetroPark in Trenton will be rolling out the welcome mat for this special gathering on August 24th. Tickets will be available at the gate.
