Fairfield area to get in gear for festival

Fairfield fans of restored vintage and show vehicles are revving up for an activity that will benefit Veteran’s Memorial Park.

The organizers of the Fairfield Township Spring Fest and Car Show have announced that it will soon be rolling into the community. Anyone who is interested in showing off their pride and joy to the world can register their entry for $10 each, and this activity will be joined by a local family-friendly festival.

The entries in the show will be reviewed by the selected panel of judges, and awards will be presented in several categories. The Spring Fest portion of the day will offer an assortment of inflatables for the kids to climb in and onto, as well as games, carnival-style snacks, and face painting. When the sun goes down, the curtain will go up on a family-friendly outdoor movie screening.

To thank those who take part in the car show for their support of the cause, the first 75 exhibitors to arrive will receive dash plaques that include a custom graphic design. Cars, trucks, and motorcycles may all take part.

This kick off to the spring season has been planned for Saturday, May 13, and the fun will run from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm. It will be set up in Fairfield Township Community Park.
