The Town of Fairfield and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce will be presenting the 5th Annual Fairfield Health and Fitness Expo in mid-March. The event will be free and family-friendly.
Over 70 exhibitors will be on hand to pass out Business Cards and Flyers, meet guests, and discuss their goods and services. Some of these will be Docs Urgent Care, Advanced Radiology Consultants, AFC Urgent Care, ALI Wellness Coaching/ Realty by Design, and the Alzheimer’s Association.
The Fairfield Health and Police Departments, along with Fairfield Cares, will collect unused and outdated prescription drugs. Free screenings will be available. Some of these will be vein, skin cancer, glucose, podiatrist screenings, stress assessments, and blood pressure Checks.
SoundRunner will coordinate a Shamrock Fun Run for the kids. The Fairfield YMCA and AR Workshop will have a variety of crafts and kids can get their faces painted. Little ones can get the opportunity to touch a truck. Fairfield University will be sending its Dakota the Comfort Dog.
Senior services will include care, accessibility, mobility information, and virtual reality dementia simulation.
AED and hands-only CPR training will be available all day, and there will be free fitness demonstrations and lectures throughout the event.
The Fairfield and Health and Fitness Expo will be Saturday, March 16 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm at the Fairfield University RecPlex, 1073 N. Benson Road.
