Country superstar to appear near Fairfield

One of the biggest stars in country music will be appearing near Fairfield, and fans are urged not to miss out of tickets.

Garth Brooks is one of the most influential country artists of all time. His approach to his craft, in which he brought elements of rock into country music, redefined the genre and propelled him to a level of stardom that includes a number of his albums reaching Diamond status.

Brooks is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, who began his career playing guitar and singing in clubs in Oklahoma, and listening to music of all kinds. He has said that he was first drawn to rock, listing Townes Van Zandt, Dan Fogelberg, and James Taylor as major influences. After hearing George Strait's debut single “Unwound,” he turned to playing country.

Brooks retired after releasing “Sevens,” which dropped in 1997. However, he was back on the road in 2014 with a World Tour that lasted through 2017, and is one of the highest-grossing tours in history.

A review of Brooks's performance at Denver's Mile High Stadium says:

“Ultimately, Brooks made the iconic stadium feel like an intimate evening. . . . Brooks’ high-energy performance . . . was truly a night that the Mile High City will never forget.”

Garth Brooks will be at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, a moderate drive from Fairfield, on May 1, 2021, at 7:00 pm. Poster printing is often used to publicize major events like this.
