Wellness event to take place in Dublin

An event designed to help attendees feel better and enjoy themselves has been put on the calendar in Dublin.

A Tai Chi Wellness Class will be held in Historic Dublin, and everyone is welcome. Tai chi will help participants improve their flexibility and strength, improve mental clarify, and reduce stress. In addition, everyone will have fun while meeting new people. Mark Butler, who is a tai chi Certified Teacher/Practitioner, is the sponsor and facilitator of the event.

Tai chi is an ancient tradition from China that was originally used for self-defense, but is today most often used as exercise. Those practicing the discipline make a series of specific movements which they do in a focused way. Practitioners also breathe deeply as they go through the series. Tai chi is self-paced and not competitive, and is instead a system of stretching and soothing physical exercise in which each pose moves into the following one without stopping, ensuring that practitioners are always moving. Tai chi differs from yoga in that it does not include meditation. Flyer printing could be used by organizers of events like this to create instruction sheets for attendees.

The Tai Wellness Class is set for January 6, from 6:00 pm until 6:45 pm. The location is Meeting Room 2 of the Dublin Branch Library, and the class is free, although registration is required. People with all levels of experience, including beginners, are welcome to attend. Masks are required.
