Wellness classes in Dublin

A series of classes is scheduled to start soon in Dublin, and everyone, whether beginners or experts, is welcome to attend and improve their health.

Mark Butler, who is a Certified Teacher/Practitioner of tai chi, is sponsoring the classes. People who practice the discipline may find it helps to reduce stress, improve flexibility and strength, and improve mental clarity. In addition, attendees will be in class with others who have the same interests, creating a pleasant environment. A situation like this is the ideal place for people to exchange Business Cards.

Tai Chi developed in China, an ancient tradition that is still practiced as a type of exercise. The practitioner breathes deeply as he or she makes a series of slow, focused movements that lead from one to the next without stopping. The discipline was first created as a self-defense method, but has evolved into a type of exercise that can help reduce stress and improve overall health.

The Tai Chi Wellness Class begins September 15 and continues every subsequent Thursday through the end of the year. The hours are 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm, at Meeting Room 2, on the lower level of the Dublin Branch Library. Although attendees are not required to wear masks, anyone who wants to wear a mask is welcome to do so. There is a garage located to the library’s west where attendees can park for free.
