Halloween is on the way and a special event in Dublin will be fun for everyone.
Coffman Park is the place for people to gather for the upcoming Halloween “Spooktacular,” an event developed by the City of Dublin for residents. The weekend features family fun that is merry, not frightening, and suitable for all ages. Among the activities are live performances, games, a straw maze, crafts, and Trunk or Treat.
The Trunk or Treat Trail is set up in Coffman Park, separate from the rest of the Spooktacular. Since it is in a different area, it requires a ticket to help keep wait times shorter. More than 20 community organizations and businesses will be located along the trail, where parents can learn about their missions while children collect treats and candy at the various stations. The Trunk or Treat Trail is a safe, fun alternative to traditional trick-or-treating.
Overall, 50 community organizations will be on hand with information about their services. The popular event has drawn over 7,500 residents of Dublin in the past, marking the weekend as a Halloween tradition for the city. The entire event takes place outside, so attendees should dress appropriately.
The Dublin Halloween Spooktacular is scheduled for October 13, from 4.00 pm until 8.00 pm, and October 14, from 1.00 pm until 5.00 pm. When events are scheduled outdoors, organizers can use banner printing to create signage, since Banners are weather resistant.
