A popular running event is returning to Dublin.
The 4th Annual Celtic Youth Running Camp is now on the schedule. The Dublin Jerome XC Coaching Staff is hosting and coaching the event.
The event is for girls and boys who are entering fourth grade through the ninth grade. The participants will be placed in groups depending on their age and experience.
Campers will need to bring some items with them. These are a digital watch, water bottle, running shoes, and snacks. Although there will be snacks provided, youngsters should bring some of their own as well.
The aim of the camp is to allow youngsters to participate in team-building activities and meet coaches, current Jerome runners, and fellow campers while learning about cross-country activities at the high school level. There will be daily training and racing, and nutrition demonstrations and teaching led by a Jerome Cross Country alumnus, athlete, or coach. Training will consist of a daily group run, which will vary in speed and length.
The camp is set for June 6 through 9, from 8:30 am until 11:30 am each day. In case of rain, the alternate date is June 10. The venue for the camp is Dublin Jerome High School on Hyland-Croy Road. Events like this are a great place for people with similar interests to exchange Business Cards.
