Run for youngsters, fun and health in Dublin

An organization in Dublin is offering a unique way to spend Thanksgiving.

OhioHealth is presenting the Flying Feather Four Miler, which will take place at The Club at Corazon. The race is suitable for families, friends, and community members. Participants will each receive a finisher’s medal, a bottle of wine, a premium hoodie, and more. The course leads through Dublin along a beautiful route.

The race is a fundraiser on behalf of the 2nd & 7 Foundation, a Columbus-based non-profit that promotes reading by giving free Books to children in need. They also provide positive role models for the children and at the same time, encourage young athletes to “pay it forward.”

On the day of the race, and at packet pickup, 2nd & 7 will be happy to accept both very gently used books, as well as new books, for children in grades K-6. The books will be distributed to local schools in central Ohio.

The race is set for November 28 at 9.00 am and will cover a distance of four miles. The club is at 7155 Corazon Drive. In addition to the hoodie, finisher’s medal, and wine, participants will receive an official race bib, as well as free photos of the race, courtesy of OhioHealth. When contests like this are organized, planners will often contact a printer who uses banner printing to create signage that marks the course for runners.
