New arcade and bar coming to Dublin

An establishment known as the 16-Bit Bar+Arcade already operates in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland, and now plans to open a location in Dublin, according to an article in This Week Community News.

The arcade bar would like to move to the Bridge Park district in Dublin, at 6564 Riverside Drive. The new venue would bring over 40 jobs with it, according to Rise Brands, which owns 16-Bit Bar+Arcade as well as Pins Mechanical Company.

16-Bit Bar+Arcade sent a development application to Dublin in mid-April, and Dublin's administrative review team posted it on the website several days later. The arcade and bar would open towards the end of summer this year.

The new establishment would be in the same building as Pins Mechanical Company, which has been a great success in the Bridge Park area. Brent Crawford, a principal with Crawford Hoying, the developer working on the Bridge Park project, said the arcade would make the district more vibrant, and he is excited to see it open. The arcade bar would have 40 classic arcade games available, with others in rotation.

16-Bit Bar+Arcade's Facebook page describes the place as:

“[A] retro watering hole offering classic arcade games, old school cocktails and craft brew.”
