What's Happening in Dublin, OH…

A popular run has been scheduled in Dublin, and should get the holidays off to a quick start.

The Dublin Snowflake 5K is now in its 11th year, and is a family-friendly walk/run event that covers 3.1 miles, with the route starting and ending at the Dublin Community Center. Although the race is being billed as an in-person event on some sites, others say it will be virtual. Anyone interested should check on the status of the race closer to the event.

The race will be chip-timed, and awards will be presented. Among the other goodies to be given away are finisher medals for all those who complete the race, and long-sleeved sweatshirts. After the race, holiday treats, including hot chocolate, will be available at the finish line.

Packets will not be available until the morning of the race, when people can pick them up at the center at 7:45 am. Other information being made available is that dogs are welcome at the event, provided they are leashed. People bringing their furry friends along are asked to stay at the back of the group. The same applies to people with strollers, which are also welcome. Finally, runners are asked to wear their race bibs outside their clothes, with the chip on the front for accurate readings.

The Snowflake 5K is scheduled for December 13. Banner printing can be used to create sturdy course markers for events like this.
