An event has been scheduled that will help raise funds for the ongoing work of an organization fighting cancer.
The Country Club at Muirfield Village in Dublin will be the site of the 4th Annual TEAM 4THECure Peloton Golf Outing, a fundraiser on behalf of Pelotonia 2020.
Pelotonia is a three-day-long event that was begun in 2008. The founders wanted to increase the amount of money raised for cancer research, and the speed with which donations were collected, so they devised a challenging bicycle ride, as well as entertainment, and noted the importance of volunteers in fundraising efforts. Pelotonia has now organized 11 rides, which have raised well over $200m in total for research into a cure for cancer.
Pelotonia has several funding partners that allow it to give all the money it raises directly to The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, which comprises the Richard J. Solove Research Institute and the James Cancer Hospital. This year, due to the pandemic, the in-person Pelotonia will not take place, but participants are invited to set individual goals, which they can meet where and whenever they choose.
The golf tournament format is the four-man scramble, with a shotgun start, and will be held October 5, from 10:30 am until 5:30 pm. The shotgun start is scheduled for 12:30 pm. Brochure printing can be used to create pamphlets that explain the mission of events such as this.
