An urgent-care center that was forced to close for several months has reopened, according to an article in the Columbus Dispatch.
The Dublin Close to Home Center, located on Hospital Drive, is run by Nationwide Children's Hospital. In March, the hospital said the center would have to close for up to five months because of a nationwide shortage of urgent-care doctors.
The temporary closure ended August 2, when the facility resumed operations. During the hiatus, hospital administrators were able to recruit pediatricians experienced in urgent care. Also, during the shutdown, patients were still seen at Nationwide Children's locations in Westerville, East Columbus, Canal Winchester, Marysville, Hilliard, and the main hospital campus.
The Dublin Close to Home Center offers urgent care seven days a week, with its weekday hours running from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm, making it easy for parents to care for their children without taking time off from work. The center also has a lab open Monday through Saturday, and a walk-in radiology department available Monday through Saturday. Ultrasounds are done by appointment. This center treats infants, young adults, and children, all in a setting that's close to home.
Since an urgent-care facility is an important part of a neighborhood, families would no doubt want to know that it has reopened. Center administrators can accomplish this by working with a postcard printing company to create a card announcing that the center is available once again.
