Dublins biggest festival is back

The biggest annual festival in Dublin is scheduled again, after being side-lined due to the pandemic. However, it will have a different format this year.

The Dublin Irish Festival has been transformed into Dublin Irish Days, a smaller version of the annual event. The festival usually draws about 100,000 attendees to watch more than 500 performers, enjoy Irish food and drink, dance, and visit hundreds of vendors.

Since the health situation is uncertain, festival organizers have modified the festival. The 2021 Dublin Irish Festival 5K will kick off Dublin Irish Days. The race this year will be capped at 1,000 attendees, though a virtual race will be offered. The Kids Dash will not be held, but youngsters are welcome to run virtually. Everyone will receive a finisher medal and T-shirt.

There will be three days of live concerts with bands such as Scythian, Gaelic Storm, Rory Makem, and more scheduled to perform in Coffman Park. The musical play “The Irish . . . and How They Got That Way,” which ran off-Broadway, will be performed on five days. Finally, the DubCrawl will take place all days, as restaurants, bars, and merchants in downtown Dublin offer specials. Flyer printing can be used to provide schedules for events like this.

Dublin Irish Days is set for August 5 to 8. The 5K is scheduled for August 5, and the concerts will be performed August 6, 7, and 8. The play will be performed August 4 and 8. All events except the DubCrawl require tickets.
