In November, Dublin will hold the Taste of the Market Gala to both raise money for the North Market Bridge Park Market and celebrate its grand opening of full operation.
North Market’s history can be traced back to 1876 when it was built as the second of four public markets in Dublin. Over the years it has gone through several transformations until it was rebuilt last year the Bridge Park community as a venue to support and showcase local merchants and restaurants. While still under construction, it opened in November 2020 with a soft opening of only four merchants.
Now fully open, the Taste of the Market Gala will serve as North Market’s main fundraiser. It will also introduce guests to unique merchants and tastemakers in the community. The gala will feature a three-course meal prepared by the market’s premier chefs, as well as wine, beer, and cocktails from expert mixologists. Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards supporting local merchants and food-related merchandise.
The Taste of the Market Gala is scheduled for November 5 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. North Market Bridge Park is located at 6750 Longshore Street, Dublin. Advanced tickets are $100, while tickets at the door are $120.
