Dublin is getting ready for major road construction, which is set to start in spring.
Plans call for moving Riverside Drive 250 feet east from its present location. The section to be relocated is between Route 161 and Tuller Road, and it will be widened into a four-lane divided highway.
Several buildings will be demolished to make way for the highway. Digger and Fitch, a restaurant, is slated to be torn down soon, and at least one home along Riverside Drive is already gone.
The new portion of the drive will resemble Emerald Parkway, as well as matching the way Bridge Street District looks, according to Dublin's service director Megan O'Callaghan. She notes there will be a landscaped median down the center of the redirected drive, and adds that since the road will finish up in the Bridge Street District, high-quality materials, such as granite curbs, are being used.
City officials believe the Bridge Street project will bring mixed use, high-density development to the region. Developer Crawford Hoying is planning Bridge Park East, which could bring in offices, retailers, restaurants, a grocery store, a gym, and a hotel, among other new businesses.
Businesses coming to the new district are sure to need to work with Stationery printers to create Letterheads for their new locations. They could also work with business card printing companies to make sure their employees' cards are current.Get a Free Quote for Stationery Get a Free Quote for Letterheads
