Oakland Nursery in Dublin will host its 41st Annual Fall Festival next month for any locals looking for a fun way to celebrate the changing seasons.
Founded in 1940, Oakland Nursery has provided central Ohio with all manner of quality plant material. It has grown from a small store to include four retail locations, a landscaping and design firm, a wholesale farm, and two specialty shops. The two-day festival will feature numerous activities, including children’s activities such as games, a bounce house, face painting, and a petting zoo. There will also be tractor-pulled hayrides, apple cider pressing, and a giant pumpkin carving demonstration.
For attendees interested in shopping, the Oakland’s Fall Fair Forest will provide a wide selection of local crafts vendors and other retail booths. Food trucks will be present as well, including a gourmet food sampling area. Guests will also get the chance to win door prizes and Promotional Products from raffles.
Some special events include the Halloween Pet Parade, Columbus Mounted Police, and the National Pumpkin Weigh-off.
The Oakland Nursery Fall Festival will take place on October 9 and October 10, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The nursery is located at 4261 W Dublin-Granville Road. There will be no charge to attend, but the event schedule may be subject to change.
