Businesses in Historic Dublin are gearing up for the holidays, and placing an emphasis on helping others.
The annual Holly Days is focused on a toy drive that firefighters in Washington Township participate in annually. In order to make room for the drive, the Touch-A-Truck event has moved to the Dublin Veterinary Clinic's parking lot.
The Dublin Convention and Visitors Bureau is sponsoring a craft activity at Dean Insurance Group. Children will be encouraged to make their own Irish snow globe, and the event is free.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at Our CupCakery, and families can have their photos taken with the couple for a cash donation, or a new, unwrapped toy.
The 12 Elves of Dublin scavenger hunt is on now, and will wrap up December 19. Stuffed elves have been hidden at various businesses, and children who find them can win a prize. Any child who finds all 12 will be entered into a drawing for a grand prize.
Holly Days are slated for December 3, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Historic Dublin. Before that, however, Dublin will light its Christmas tree. The ceremony will be today, December 1, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., in front of Indian Run Elementary School. Other activities will take place in Historic Dublin, beginning at 4:30 pm.
Communities like this can enhance events by working with flyer printing companies, which can Print handouts listing activities, times, and locations.
