Dublin gets wrapping and raising funds

A novel fundraiser in Dublin will help support some of the area’s furry residents.

The Dublin location of Mutts & Co., a natural pet food store, is the host of the upcoming gift-wrapping event, at which participants will enjoy themselves as they wrap gifts, and help homeless animals at the same time. The fundraiser benefits Dublin’s Homeless to Home organization.

Homeless to Home, a local non-profit, is funded by donations only, and is dedicated to protecting all animals, and seeing to their welfare. There is a pet overpopulation problem across the country regarding cats in particular, largely caused by difficult economic conditions rather than ill treatment. Shelters may be full and forced to turn people away, or ask for a fee to accept a pet.

Homeless to Home takes in these now-homeless animals and seeks to provide them with the best possible outcomes. The workers at Homeless to Home also know that animals need care at all times, not just during business hours. Homeless To Home provides the stable environment the animals need until they find their people.

The gift-wrapping session is scheduled for Sunday, December 10, from 12:00 pm until 2:0 pm. Mutts & Co is on Sawmill Road. The event is free, but donations are encouraged. Events like this can be publicized when organizers use flyer printing to create handouts.
