Dublin gets set for Holly Days

Historic Dublin has a great many activities planned to welcome the holidays, with the ‘Holly Days’ celebration offering a way for the community to come together and at the same time show their support for the small businesses that are vital to life in Dublin.

Among the activities are the charity drive held by Firefighters for Kids. The firefighters will be collecting toys at the Dublin branch library, located on High Street, for most of the day. The township's fire truck will be at the scene for the kids to enjoy. The Sisters Sweet Shoppe, also on High Street, plans to have a gingerbread house on exhibit during the afternoon.

Photo opportunities abound, with Santa posing with children from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at La Chatelaine on Bridge Street, while LeenaBee Photography plans to take complimentary pictures in Winans Chocolates & Coffee, another shop on High Street.

People who want a hot beverage have another choice, as Starbucks will be serving free hot chocolate from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in Frog Park. There will be live entertainment in Bri-Hi Square during the afternoon, plus visitors can take free trolley rides of the historic area.

Holly Days is scheduled for Saturday, December 6. Historic Dublin merchants could work with poster printers to create colorful Posters for their windows that celebrate the season.
