Dublin asked help out local hospice

Hope Hospice has put out a call to the community to participate in an upcoming Dublin area fundraiser.

The Hike For Hope is a signature fundraising event for the organization, which provides a range of services to the area, including bereavement counselling, dementia education, and resources for family caregivers. Those who lace up their sneakers will be helping to ensure that the over 2,000 East Bay area residents to whom it supplies services will be able to continue to count on it being there for them when they need it.

The organizers of the day explained that there are two routes to choose from, and one has been selected because it is fairly easy while the second will be more of a challenge. The donation to participate is $35 each, and this is tax deductible. Families are encouraged to register as a group.

To thank the public for their willingness to lend a hand, those who sign up by April 15 are guaranteed a T-shirt in their size that sports a graphic design prepared for the occasion. It was also noted that the registrants will be invited to enjoy a free barbecue lunch courtesy of MCE Corp.

This opportunity to hit the road in support of a local hospice will be taking place on May 14. Its Patch listing has been updated with the most current details.
