There are so many events planned for Dublin in December that the city might need two months to celebrate.
The month begins with the Tree Lighting in Riverside Cross Park, with Santa himself doing the honors. The ice-skating rink will be open, and children of all ages will have a chance to compose a letter to Santa.
Every day during December will bring a scavenger hunt, thanks to the 12 Elves of Dublin. Children will visit 12 different locations in Historic Dublin, where they will try to find the elf. Any child who finds all the elves by December 23 has a chance of winning the Grand Prize.
Bridge Park is also getting in on the fun. During its “12 Days of Bridge Park,” organizers will hide gifts and put clues to their locations on Instagram. Those who locate the gifts will win prizes.
Other events include costumed characters, giveaways, and games, a Holiday Market, an Ugly Sweater Crawl, and a chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Finally, Wreaths Across America and Dublin’s Grand Leprechauns will honor veterans by laying Remembrance Wreaths at Dublin Cemetery.
The Tree Lighting in set for December 1, and the 12 Elves of Dublin also starts December 1 and runs daily through December 23. Bridge Park is hiding presents every Thursday through Saturday, and the Wreaths across America ceremony is December 17, at 10:00 am. When activities like these are planned, organizers can use flyer printing to create handouts with schedules for visitors.
