Developers plan new Dublin hotel

Crawford Hoying Development Partners of Dublin is teaming up with Indus Hotels, based in Columbus, to create a new hotel for Dublin.

According to a September 29, 2014, news item, the co-developers plan a limited-service, 125-room hotel, to be located on Upper Metro Place. Crawford Hoying is the developer of the huge mixed-use Bridge Park project.

The new hotel will be sited at Route 161 and Frantz Road, where two restaurants, Stoney River and Salvi's Bistro, were once located. Brent Crawford of Crawford Hoying said he and the co-developer, Indus's David Patel, are considering a Hilton hotel product that offers a 125-room layout. He added that the site is slightly larger than two-and-a-half acres, which will give them room to build the hotel. He added the companies were planning to submit an application and formal plans to Dublin in the very near future.

Crawford noted that he wants to begin building the new hotel early next spring, and have the hotel open for business by Spring 2016. Patel added they hope to get Hilton to approve the hotel as one of its Home2Suites imprints.

The developers could work with brochure printers to create Booklets suitable for display in racks at restaurants, terminals, airports, and train stations in the area. Visitors could pick them up and have the information necessary to stay at the Hilton.
