A conference for members of an organization that supports adult and technical-career educators is set for Dublin.
The Ohio Association for Career and Technical Education (OACTE) is a state-wide organization whose members help provide instruction for students who want to jump start their careers. Concentrating on the subjects that interest them, beginning in high school, will prepare them to go on to college, or a trade if they prefer. By concentrating on their field of interest, they will be able to choose the right educational path, and enter the workplace with the knowledge and skills employers are looking for.
Career-Technical and Adult Education (CTE) in the state of Ohio gives educators the resources and information they need to provide students with these opportunities.
The upcoming conference will bring members of the Association together to network and discuss teaching methods. Among the subjects on the agenda are how to hire a CTE teacher, best practices for work-based learning, and how funding applies to CTE. There will also be presentations by various officers of the Association, and several panels and a question-and-answer session. Breaks for networking are also included on the agenda, which will no doubt include the exchange of Business Cards.
The Ohio Career Technical Administrators (OCTA) 2002 Spring Conference is a multi-day event, and is slated for March 16 to 18 at the Embassy Suites-Columbus-Dublin on Upper Metro Place in Dublin.
