Celebrating St. Patrick in Dublin

The Fadó Pub & Kitchen is the site of a special event, the St. Patricks’ Day Parade Party, which will return for 2023 next month.

According to legend, Dublin, Ohio was named by John Shields, the Irishman who first surveyed it. Homesick, he gave it the name of his hometown, and Dublin has celebrated Irish culture ever since.

The pub will be serving beer and will have a limited menu available. Live music will feature Dogwood Road from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm, The McIans from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm, and Cape Clear from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

Dogwood Road is Karl Wohlwend on guitar and Tyler Moore on mandolin, fiddle, and vocals. They toured the United States extensively as members of other bands before going out on their own in 2014 as a duo.

Brian Kerr McIan, a Glasgow native, is the founder of the McIans, who play both traditional and modern Celtic music. The rest of the outfit comprises Rob Whittington McIan, Ken Kress McIan, and Steve Stinchcomb McIan.

The party is March 11, with doors opening at 9:00 am, and food available until 12:00 pm. The bar will also be open the same hours on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17. Admission after 12:00 pm is limited to those 21 and over, and the restaurant is not taking reservations either day. Fun events like this can be enhanced when organizers use banner printing to create decorations.
