Car show set for Dublin

Two Dublin associations are joining forces to host what promises to be a fun event.

The Historic Dublin Business Association is teaming up with Dublin AM Rotary to host the Second Annual Classic Car Show, which will be held in Downtown Dublin. In addition, Dublin AM Rotary is also working with the Antique, Classic and Historic Automobile World Fellowship of Rotarians (ACHAFR), an international organization of Rotarians who work to preserve and utilize classic, antique, and historic autos.

The categories of vehicles that can be entered in the show are motorcycles, late-model performance cars, trucks, street rods, custom cars, muscle cars, antique cars, and classic cars. There is also a special category for an entry by a high school student. The student will need to provide a student ID and may enter one car for free. The entry fee for all others is $10. Organizers of events like this can use flyer printing to create handouts for spectators listing exhibitors.

There will be awards for the top 30 vehicles chosen, one award for Best in Show, and one award to a high school student. Proceeds from the event will go to fund Rotary’s community projects and charities.

The car show is scheduled for September 5, with registration taking place from 9 am until 12 pm. Awards will be presented at 3 pm. Spectators are welcome to attend free of charge.
