Art exhibit scheduled for Dublin

The Dublin Arts Council has announced the dates for a new exhibit, though visitors will be able to see the art by appointment only.

“Don Staufenberg: Ceramic Infusion” will open soon at the Dublin Arts Council on Riverside Drive. The solo exhibition features works that meld fiber, metal, wood, and polymer with ceramics to result in a uniquely tactile visual expression of art. Staufenberg's artworks are visually exciting, inviting viewers to study how colors, textures, and layers, combined with the dynamic relationship among them, work to create something new.

Staufenberg has drawn on his work as a product designer for Fitch, Inc., Rubbermaid, and Herman Miller Furniture. The artist was granted a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design by Kent State University, and today is a design consultant as well as a university guest lecturer.

A review says:

“Don has taken his years in design and art and now is creating a body of work all his own that sort of tips his hat to the past, but is entirely modern. With these pieces . . . there’s always something new to discover.”

The exhibit opens on November 10 at 10:00 am, and ends December 16 at 3:30 pm. Appointments are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 10:00 am and 3:30 pm, and the second Saturday of each month, between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, through the Dublin Arts Council. Brochure printing can be used to create programs for events like this.
