Superstar country singer coming to Cincinnati

One of the biggest names in country music is on the way to Cincinnati.

Garth Brooks, a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, is one of the most successful musicians in history. He integrated elements of rock and pop into country music, establishing a unique sound that has resulted in sales of over 170 million albums in his career, nine of which have earned Diamond status.

Brooks began performing professionally in 1985, playing guitar and singing in bars and clubs throughout Oklahoma. Although he listened to country music, he preferred rock, citing Townes Van Zandt, Dan Fogelberg, and James Taylor as influences. However, when he heard George Strait’s debut single “Unwound”, he focused on country music.

His breakthrough came in 1989 when he released “Garth Brooks.” The album climbed to No. 2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, and placed No. 13 on the Billboard 200 chart. He also toured, opening for Kenny Rogers. In 1990, Brooks released “No Fences,” which went to No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, where it stayed for 23 weeks. The artist released his latest album “Fun”, in 2020.

A review says:

“Garth Brooks is . . . one of the most incredible Music Artists ever! His drive and love to entertain and care for his fans is beyond anything I have ever experienced.”

Brooks will be at Cincinnati’s Paul Brown Stadium on May 14. Creative publicity for events like this can be created by organizers using poster printing.
