One of rock's biggest acts is coming to Cincinnati this summer.
The Dave Matthews Band is on the way, and tickets are sure to be snapped up quickly. The band formed in 1991 in Charlottesville, Virginia, when guitarist and vocalist Dave Matthews wanted to put some of his songs on Tape. He asked saxophonist LeRoi Moore and Carter Beauford, a drummer to help. Shortly after, Stefan Lessard joined, and the Dave Matthews Band was born.
The band, with their roots in jazz, made its debut on a major label with the album “Under the Table and Dreaming.” In its nearly three-decade career, the band has released a number of live recordings and nine studio albums, selling a total of 38 million DVDs and CDs. In 1997, the band won the Grammy as Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group for the song “So Much to Say.”
In 2018, the group released the album “Come Tomorrow,” which debuted at the number one spot on the Billboard 200. This is their seventh album in a row to debut at number one, making them the only group in history to have that distinction.
Apparently, they never lose their magic, with one recent review saying:
“Haven't seen them in several years but they were just as great as ever. . . . I've loved them since the mid 90s.”
The Dave Matthews Band will appear at the Riverbend Music Center at 7:30 pm on June 24. Flyer printing can create handouts advertising events like this.
