Music megastar coming to Cincinnati

Pop music star Post Malone will soon be bringing his latest tour to Cincinnati.

Austin Richard Post, who performs under the name Post Malone, successfully blends multiple genres of music, including hip-hop, R&B, and pop. Post Malone’s musical influences are varied; he cites Bob Dylan, 50 Cent, Johnny Cash, and Kurt Cobain as inspirations.

He began playing guitar at 14, and created a mixtape while he was still in high school. His career started in 2011, but it wasn’t until 2015 that he began to win attention, thanks to the release of “White Iverson,” his first major commercial single. The song climbed to No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

In 2016, he released his debut album “Stoney,” with the track “Congratulations”, certified as Diamond by the RIAA. The song is one of the artist’s biggest hits. “Beerbongs & Bentleys,” his second album, debuted in 2018 at the top of the US Billboard 200 chart, and was nominated for a Grammy as “Album of the Year.”

In 2019, he released “Hollywood’s Bleeding,” his third album, and in 2022, he dropped “Twelve Carat Toothache”, continuing his run of commercial hits. He has been nominated for a Grammy Award nine times and has sold almost 80 million records.

A review says:

“He was an amazing performer [sic]. He gave us a great show hands down.”

Post Malone will be at the Riverbend Music Center on Sunday, July 9. Organizers of major entertainment events like this can publicize artists such as Post Malone using poster printing.
