Eric Gales has been playing the blues for more than 30 years, and in that time has released 19 albums including his latest effort “Crown,” which he dropped in 2022. Gales has always been passionate about the blues and driven by a need to keep it relevant, even when he was facing personal challenges. Throughout his struggles, he continued to energize the music with his highly personal lyrics, and complex twists in his songwriting and guitar playing.
Gales’s struggles with addiction are a vitally important part of his career because his hard-won fight has given him a new perspective. On his “Crown” album, he discusses not only his personal battles, but also his hopes for increased creativity, and optimism for positive changes throughout society. The new album contains some of the best songwriting, singing, and guitar playing Gales has ever recorded. The album’s producers are Josh Smith and Joe Bonamassa, a legendary guitarist in his own right. One source says the album is:
“Eric at his most boldly vulnerable, uncompromisingly political, and unflinchingly confident.”
A review says:
“Backed by a tight band . . . Gales delivered a masterclass in blue-rock that left the crowd breathless.”
Gales will be at the Ludlow Garage on February 29. Events like this can be publicized by organizers using poster printing to create advertising.
