A golf tournament is returning to Cincinnati, and the event will include a special guest.
The 3rd Annual John Hancock Invitational will be held at the Maketewah Country Club, and Dan Boever will be there to entertain the guests with a one-of-a-kind comedy golf show. Ed Deeds, Hayden Main, and Bobby Labadini, who are with Hancock, organized the event.
Boever has been passionate about sports all his life. He attended college on a baseball scholarship, and played professional baseball with the Cincinnati Reds, rising to the level of AAA ball. He put down his baseball bat in 1996, picked up a golf club. That proved to be a stroke of genius.
Boever won the World Long Drive Championship in 2008 with a 366-yard drive. With that record under his belt, he turned to comedy and makes people laugh with trick shots and general fun on the green.
The tournament is scheduled for July 20, with the range opening at 7:00 am. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 am, and Dan Boever starts his show at 8:00 am. The tournament, which is a full 18 holes, kicks off with a shotgun start at 9:15 am. Lunch is set for 1:30 pm, with the results of the tournament made public and prizes awarded at 2:00 pm. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts with schedules for events like this.
Registration is free, but space is limited.
