A huge cultural celebration is coming to Cincinnati.
FedEx Ground is presenting the Guinness Cincinnati Celtic Festival, which will take place on Freedom Way, right in front of the Great American Ballpark. There is a huge variety of activities planned, including whisky tasting, live entertainment, and food.
This event varies from other festivals in being more broadly based. Many festivals celebrate Irish or Scottish culture, but the upcoming party in Cincinnati includes both of these countries as well as the Isle of Man, Wales, Cornwall, and Brittany. Celtic music, which will be offered by many artists, is a broad classification of various genres that came from the traditional folk music of these areas.
Celtic food will be provided by four different local restaurants—McCullough’s, Crawford Clan Celtic Grill, Gabby’s Café, and The Dublin Pub—serving dishes such as shepherd’s pie, bangers and mash, funnel cake, and more.
Live entertainment includes bands and dance troupes that will perform on two stages. There is even a play scheduled—the Irish American Theater Company will be performing “Dancing at Lughnasa.”
The festival runs for three days, opening on Friday, July 8, and running that day from 5:00 pm until 11:00 pm. July 9’s hours are from 12:00 pm until 11:00 pm, and on July 10, the hours are from 12:00 pm until 7:00 pm, and admission is free. Organizers of this type of event can use flyer printing to create schedules for attendees.
