Residents of Price Hill, as well as a community development organization, want to see the area restored—especially along Glenway Avenue, where many businesses are located. Residents note that the Cincinnati district is handy to downtown, shops, and entertainment.
The agency that wants to bring the area back is Price Hill Will, which is actively looking for a developer who will rework the area from 4940 to 4964 Glenway Avenue. Community leaders are interested in this particular stretch because it is close to a residential area known for its stability. It is also near concerns that anchor the entire area, draws regional markets, and is known for its character. With assistance from the city, Price Hill Will bought many of the properties along the avenue last year.
The developer chosen will be asked to provide a number of services before construction begins. These would include a preliminary analysis of the site, cost estimates, finding an engineer and an architect, and finding tenants for the new and renovated businesses.
Darrick Dansby of Price Hill Will said there is been a great response to the agency's request for developers to present their qualifications, and many people are asking about the new opportunity.
The developer, whoever it may be, could work with brochure printers to develop a booklet describing the renovations. This could be made available to commercial realtors.
