American troubadour to visit Cincinnati

An artist, who began his career as a painter before turning to music, is scheduled to come to Cincinnati.

Joshua Radin first attended Northwestern University, where he studied painting and drawing. After graduation, he taught art and wrote screenplays before he moved to New York City, where he began his musical career in 2004.

At that time, Zach Braff, an actor best known for his role on “Scrubs” and a friend of Radin from Northwestern, showed “Winter,” Radin’s first composition, to Bill Lawrence. Lawrence had created “Scrubs,” and the introduction proved to be a huge boost for Radin, since Lawrence used several of Radin’s compositions in the show. Since then, Radin’s music has been used in more than 200 commercials, television series, and films.

He has performed on various television shows such as “Conan,” “Immy Kimmel Live!” and “The Tonight Show,” and has appeared several times on “Ellen,” who asked him to play at her wedding. His single “I’d Rather Be With You” was certified Gold.

Radin has sold over a million albums worldwide, and his work has been streamed more than one billion times. A reviewer stated that:
“Radin took to the stage and brought the audience on a journey from pain to healing throughout his 18-song set.”

Radin and his special guest, the Always Amazing Maggie Poppe, will be appearing at the Ludlow Garage on Friday, March 22. When events like this are planned, organizers will often work with poster printing to create advertising.
