Water Safety Instructor course planned near Rockville Centre

Young people from Rockville Centre who love to spend time in the water may wish to register for a course that will allow them to become a certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.

The course, scheduled to run for 30 hours, will give participants skills to help them both in and out of the pool. Participants will learn lifesaving, presentation and teaching skills, and can gain work experience to add to their resume. They will be able to work with any age group, and also able to provide instruction in how to dive safely.

The course is open to those who are over the age of 16 years and who meet a set of swim skill requirements set by the Red Cross. There is no fee being charged to participate in the instruction, and those who successfully complete the training will receive a certificate. Instructional materials, award certificates, instructor uniforms and other items can be supplied to the organizers of a program like this by an area printing company.

The Water Safety Instructor Course will begin on December 1st, and will run until December 3rd. It will be held in Oceanside, and a complete description of the instruction and the admission requirements that have been set for it, can be found on the host’s website.
