A Rockville Centre institution is already hard at work preparing for some spooky Halloween fun, and it is seeking volunteers to lend a hand.
The Center for Science, Teaching, and Learning will once again be hosting its signature "Spooky Fest" filled with spine-tingling yet family-friendly fun. Parents can choose from a non-spooky or an all-attractions ticket, with the second option including admission to its Spooky Woods.
The young kids will be able to participate in age-appropriatee volunteer-led activities such as face painting, an arts and crafts station, fortune telling, and Halloween tunes. The Spooky Woods will see the crowd treated to a stroll through a frightful forest with scary characters and scenes.
The organizers are interested in hearing from anyone who would like to lend a helping hand with this fundraiser. They must be at least 16 years of age, and they can choose from a variety of tasks. When planning a special gathering a host can source Letterheads, applications, waivers, and other specialized business Forms from a local Stationery printer.
Rockville Centre's Center for Science Teaching and Learning is hoping there will be plenty of community support for its annual Spooky Fest fundraiser. It will be running on selected dates in October, beginning on Friday, October 2. Its website can be consulted for more information and an application link.
