The residents of Rockville Centre are getting ready for the Spring Fair and Plant Sale. The event offers attendees the chance to shop for home items, as well as the chance to snag a quick bite to eat.
The central focus of the fair is plants. Fairgoers will be able to buy all manner of pots for their greenery, including hanging baskets and glazed terracotta. A large number of plants will be available for purchase as well, such as flats with new sprouts and more mature, already potted plants. Attendees can buy flowers, shrubs, sapling trees, and even vegetable plants. The fair includes opportunities to learn more about the plants and the best practices to take care of them.
For those lacking a green thumb, the event will also have a ‘Grandma’s Attic’, where they can shop for furniture, collectibles, and other items needed for the inside of their homes. Visitors who get a bit hungry can pick up some goods from the bake sale or sit down for a small meal at a cafe that will be set up at the fair.
The Spring Fair and Plant Sale will be held on May 7 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the United Church of Rockville Centre located at 430 Morris Ave. Attendance is free. Plants are available for preorder, but orders must be submitted by April 20. Anyone looking for information on ordering or about the event in general should consult the Flyers.
