Rockville Centre to welcome Santa

The kids who call the Rockville Centre area home must have been extra good this year, as Santa will be making a pre-holiday visit to the local area.

The Bellmore Chamber of Commerce has worked closely with the Jolly Old Elf to make arrangements for him to preside over the start of the holiday season, although the location for his visit will be released at a later date. There is no admission fee but everyone is asked to make a generous donation of unwrapped toys, as these will be donated to children in need.

The plans for the occasion involved a free movie screening, and thanks to the Bellmore fire crews, Santa will arrive in a fire truck with lights and sirens on. The organizers have expressed their thanks to Henry and Anne Stampfel for donating the use of their theater for this annual celebration.

Along with the movie and other fun, participating youngsters will each receive an assortment of Corporate Gifts donated by its business community. Print shops will be able to offer a large selection of options that may be a good fit for this sort of occasion.

The Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores has plans to welcome the area’s little ones for this special morning on November 26. Its website has the latest information about the function, which will begin at 9:00 am.
