Rockville Centre Library to host Trunk or Treat

Rockville Centre kids who are looking forward to some trick or treating fun this fall will be invited to do so safely at a special local event.

The Rockville Centre Library will be hosting a Trunk or Treat afternoon, and it is limited to cardholders only. Participation is free of charge, and each timeslot will be 15 minutes long.

The trunk or treat will see members of the community decorate the trunk of their vehicle with Halloween decorations, and the theme can be anything from spooky and slightly scary, to fun and silly. They will then stock up an assortment of candy and other treats to distribute to the kids, who will do their shelling out by going from car to car. The vehicles will be parked in the allotted spaces in the library’s parking lot, and the area will be roped off so that the trick or treaters will be safe.

The planners explain that social distancing rules will be strictly followed, and parents are asked to reserve one 15-minute spot only. A printer can offer promotional Pens and other items to give out to the little ghosts and goblins who take part in this sort of activity.

This afternoon of trunking and treating will be taking place on October 30. It will begin at 3:30 pm, and continue on until 5:00 pm.
