Rockville Centre invited to welcome arrival of fall

As summer shifts to fall, Rockville Centre and the rest of Long Island will be enjoying the change of seasons at an annual regional celebration.

The Long Island Fair has been held in the area for many years, and it connects the public with their community’s agricultural heritage. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the gate, and there will be fun on offer for all ages.

As in previous years, the fair will offer farmers and other growers as well as crafters and home cooks a way to put their skills to the test, and an assortment of competitions are on the agenda. The fruits of their labors will be on exhibit, and these may be submitted online. A coloring contest will give the little ones a chance to join the fun, and a poetry competition will take place as well. Food, produce and other items will be on offer, and carnival style games, rides and other fun are all in the works for the three days of festivities.

Promoting a large annual event like this may be made a lot easier with assistance from area printers. They can supply everything from graphic design to banner printing, and these often help to ensure a function will be a success.

This year's Long Island Fair will celebrate the area's agricultural past, present and future on September 3rd, 4th and 5th. It will take place at 1303 Round Swamp Road in old Bethpage.
